A Clearing to Take Care of You When it feels like Your Family is Falling Apart

Saving sanity family conflictDo you struggle with anxiety or worry? When we stress and anguish excessively about something, it puts us at risk energetically to absorb other people's issues and problems. This doesn't help them (as they will just re-create it momentarily) but it can break us down and make us feel shaky, sick, drained, and literally like we're going crazy!

For me, what I’m finding helps is to visualize the person or situation as being surrounded by a Spiritual Healing Team of comfort, guidance, and support to help things along. I ask for the support and then know that it’s my task to work to release my own fear, anguish, need to control, panic, and attachment to how I think it all should work out, etc.

Today I knew it was going to be one of those days. For some reason, I just woke up with a chip on my shoulder. All morning long it felt like I was battling with the thoughts in my head. I was thinking about the state of the world, then politics, just one nasty cynical thought after another. It seemed like no matter what I tried, even looking for a positive subject...the negative tone stayed. What really bothered me was I could tell that this cynical agitation was zapping my energy and my ambition to do anything.

I wanted to share because guilt is one of the most difficult emotions we all will deal with, especially us moms! Louise Hay, author of “You Can Heal Your Life” cited guilt to be one of the most useless emotions we feel.  Can you believe that? In her book she says that guilt actually creates the most pain and suffering in our bodies and is a big contributor to illness and disease.

Yet.. a part of me cringes when I hear it said that “guilt is useless” because there’s a part of me that believes that we need the guilt, like if we don’t have it, we’ll be terrible people. After all doesn’t it seem like the most cold blooded criminals have little or no remorse and that’s what makes them terrifying?

This is the weekend we celebrate this amazing country and the freedoms we all enjoy.
With that in mind, I wondered if you would be willing to reflect on another question… “Are you emotionally free or are you constantly held hostage by your emotional stuff?” Does the pain of the past, hurt, trauma, divorce, etc. weigh you down with fear, regret, heartache, and anxiety? Or… do you avoid certain events or dread them due to unresolved feelings or issues with a person who might be there?

Our emotional stuff keeps us limited, drained, and unable to fully enjoy the amazing lives that we live.
