Love all Your Moments by Making Your Time Count

Do you feel like time is your friend and there's plenty of it or do you constantly feel like you're rushing against the clock?

When I was first learning about emotional healing and energy medicine, one of my teachers told me I needed to "clear" my belief that "time was my enemy and I needed to constantly rush and fight with it." :/

***A "belief" or "limiting belief" is just a thought you've had over and over again that is now cemented in your mind as the way things are. These beliefs are how a lot of our lives are structured whether we realize it or not! Our brains consult our core belief system about everything to determine what different things mean and what's possible for us. This is why becoming aware of your deep "beliefs" and clearing the ones that are limiting is such a valuable practice!

Happy Memorial Day! A Simple Clearing to Live More Fully and Put the Past to Rest

Today as I was thinking about Memorial Day and all those who have passed on, I am reminded how short life is. How precious every moment we have together is.

The truth is, this day will never come again! We will never be this age again or exactly this way again ever! Life is like a river and we can never step in the same river twice.

I think we all know this truth logically but we don’t usually let it fully sink in because when we do, the magnitude and impact of it is so powerful it takes our breath away!

Recently I really got this, for just a moment, I got it with my whole being and it changed me!

I think when we’re raising our kids we all know that we need to enjoy everything. We know that they’re growing up and things are changing… but we can be so overwhelmed by all the stuff going on and our own exhaustion and pressures of life it doesn’t always sink in.

The moment I went to visit my oldest son it hit me like a ton of bricks that he was forming his own life.  It dawned on me that the moments of him living as my little boy at home were gone! I knew this, my mind was aware, but for some reason, my body, heart and gut hadn’t yet received the memo.

When it hit my heart and gut, I actually felt this huge truth for just a moment with my whole being! How precious life is, how every moment counts! Everything!!!! My heart got it and it doubled me over with grief. It changed me completely in that one split second.

Interesting how life does that to us sometimes. :/
Bittersweet moments I guess..
Today, in honor of Memorial Day, I wanted to share a healing exercise that would help clear the stuff that gets in the way of us connecting and fully enjoying life and the people around us.

Let’s release the old baggage, the hurt feelings, the unresolved issues that keep us from savoring and fully feeling those we love and all the amazing stuff that’s happening right now where we are in the “river!”

In memory of all the past heartaches, disappointments, failures, upsets….
Let’s start putting some of it to rest so we can live more fully and emotionally available for those we love and for ourselves!


Use this simple process to clear things out and unplug!
This process is called the Temporal Tap. If you’ve been with me for a while, you’re already familiar with this technique. I use it a lot because we can use variations of it to accomplish all kinds of different results. 
In order to get the most out of today’s clearing process, take a quick minute to think about the following questions:

Is there something that has happened or is going on right now that feels overwhelming and heavy?

Is there something you have recently been through that has let you feeling broken, disillusioned, or just closed off?

Is there something that has left you feeling stuck in a really painful place where the emotions feel almost like quicksand? The stress and hurt of it is all around you but you just can’t get out?

Put your focus and intention on healing and unplugging from whatever it is that’s going on or has went on in the past, as you do this tapping process.
There are only two steps to this process.

Step One: Tap up and over your left ear while making the following statements:

(These statements are formed by saying “I am no longer….” They are languaged this way in order to acknowledge what’s going on and what you’re feeling. The left brain is logical and linear based so it responds better when we address what’s happening realistically. Step two will incorporate the right brain. This is when we can add positive language and affirmations. The right brain is more creative and possibility based so it’s more open and receptive to new ideas and solutions.)

Using the fingertips of your left hand, tap up and over your left ear while making the following statements:

“I am no longer willing to be paralyzed and frozen by this difficult situation.”

“I am no longer willing to believe that I will never be okay and never recover.”

“I am no longer willing to carry this heavy pain and heart-ache.”

“I am no longer willing to carry these heavy feelings of blame and negativity toward all those that may have been involved. Even though it didn’t feel fair and I really needed them to have considered others and the damage they caused, I am no longer willing to carry the pain and discomfort of waiting for their acknowledgement and apologies.”

“I am no longer willing to keep my life and happiness on hold because of this difficult thing I went through.”

“I am no longer willing to believe that healing and lightness is not possible or available for me.”

“I am no longer available for these kinds of painful experiences.”
Take a few deep breaths…
Step Two: Using the fingertips of your right hand, tap up and over the right ear while making the following statements

“I am now choosing to feel more love and lightness in my life.”

“I am now choosing to let go and unplug my focus and energy from this situation and all those that were involved.”

“I am now choosing to see the whole situation as being surrounded by spiritual assistance and being worked out for the highest good of all involved.”

“I am now choosing to forgive myself for being buried with this for so long.”

“I am now choosing to forgive the situation and all those who may have been involved. The truth is, I'm feeling hurt and uneasy. I needed to see myself and others handle things better and it hurts they didn’t or I didn’t but I’m willing to accept that we're all doing the best we know how in each moment and it’s time to let go.”

“I am now choosing love, peace, and harmony for my life going forward. I am choosing to feel light and free and know that I’ll be okay no matter what happens.”

“I am now choosing to let go and release the past.”

“I am now choosing to savor every moment and remember that it will never come again.”

Take a few more deep breaths and send thoughts of love and gratitude for everything that you have and that is going really well in your life.

Happy Memorial Day. Loving others and celebrating the lives that have passed and the lives we are living now is a wonderful tribute to those we remember today.

Finding Joy When You've Forgotten how to Laugh!

I was standing at the concert. Everyone around me was swaying to the music and clapping their hands. I hadn’t been to a concert (just for fun) in 20 years. The only reason I was even there was the surprise night out had been a birthday gift from my parents.
I felt stiff and awkward trying to relax and clap along. My body seemed rigid instead of flowing with the music, and I felt like crying for some reason. :/
In that moment, it hit me how serious and heavy I had let my life become. I had grown obsessive about learning and dealing with life’s problems. Every day had become filled with serious study, serious books, serious workouts, and even serious conversations filled with a constant analyzing of life and always trying to get to the deeper meaning of everything..


Don’t get me wrong, I love all these things! Good, in depth conversations are still my favorite!
Yet, last night it dawned on me how much I had forgotten how to let go, be silly, and just have fun! To laugh and talk about nothing, the things like the funny pants the drummer was wearing, the 75 year old man on steel guitar drinking a can of red cream soda… Life is full of hilarious, random moments designed to lighten things up yet I’d been missing the opportunity to laugh and enjoy the majority of them.

A Clearing to Take Care of You When it feels like Your Family is Falling Apart

Do you struggle with anxiety or worry? When we stress and anguish excessively about something, it puts us at risk energetically to absorb other people's issues and problems. This doesn't help them (as they will just re-create it momentarily) but it can break us down and make us feel shaky, sick, drained, and literally like we're going crazy!

For me, what I’m finding helps is to visualize the person or situation as being surrounded by a Spiritual Healing Team of comfort, guidance, and support to help things along. I ask for the support and then know that it’s my task to work to release my own fear, anguish, need to control, panic, and attachment to how I think it all should work out, etc.

Releasing the Heavy Burden of Guilt and Regret: A Clearing to Live Lighter

I just found some really great information about guilt and how best to heal and work through it. I wanted to share because guilt is one of the most difficult emotions we all will deal with, especially us moms! Louise Hay, author of “You Can Heal Your Life” cited guilt to be one of the most useless emotions we feel.  Can you believe that? In her book she says that guilt actually creates the most pain and suffering in our bodies and is a big contributor to illness and disease.

Yet.. a part of me cringes when I hear it said that “guilt is useless” because there’s a part of me that believes that we need the guilt, like if we don’t have it, we’ll be terrible people. After all doesn’t it seem like the most cold blooded criminals have little or no remorse and that’s what makes them terrifying?

Conquering the "Why Bother" Syndrome

Did you know that if you are bombarded with thoughts of "Why Bother" and feelings of deep discouragement, your body's energy system will not support you in making the changes you want to make in your life?

Over the past few weeks I've been working to prepare another class on how to clear emotional stress and the blocks that keep people stuck.

The other classes I've offered so far, have been all about clearing the emotional and physical issues that can cause the body to hold on to unwanted weight. (If you were unable to attend and would like to have access to those classes, they are available in the store section of my website down the page under "Weight Issues") 

During these classes, I noticed that there was a lot of discouragement in the room that could best be described as feelings of "WHY BOTHER!!! I'M SO TIRED OF THE STRUGGLE!"

This is an issue that can stop all efforts for change immediately.


You might be suffering from the "Why Bother Syndrome" if you're finding yourself in any of the following kinds of scenarios:

*You're wanting to lose weight but having a hard time finding the motivation to try again. You're having thoughts like "why bother, last time I lost 20 pounds only to gain 25 back. I'm so tired of this!"

*You've set a New Year's goal to advance in your career and you find yourself thinking, "I'll never get anywhere with this. Last time I really tried, nobody noticed and it didn't work. Why bother?"

*Maybe you're struggling with a health challenge where you've seen 5 doctors in a row and they've all promised to help but nothing they have done has worked."

*You've decided to give your best effort to improving your marriage or family relationships only to find yourself in another argument and feeling like your efforts have not been appreciated."

Or... there's another dynamic to the "Why Bother Syndrome" that I've really noticed the last little while. It seems to be a collective energy that we're all sharing a little bit right now with the state of the economy and so many people struggling and out of work. I've noticed that there's a sense of hopelessness and discouragement that has come over a big percentage of the population  from viewing the news and hearing all the grim predictions for the future.

So how do you know if you’ve come down with the “Why Bother
Syndrome?”


Here’s 2 ways you can tell immediately:

1.) Listen to your thoughts. What do they sound like?


Do you notice yourself thinking things like, “Why would I try
that again? Look what happened the other times! It was a
disaster!” or “I’ve lost 100 pounds over my lifetime so far and
gained 125 back. If I drop the weight, I’ll just gain it back
and hate myself all over again. WHY BOTHER!”

Are you trying to improve or heal a relationship only to notice
yourself thinking “I’m tired of trying, the more I try, the
worse it gets. We’ve gone to therapists, and it doesn’t help!
It too painful to open myself up just to be hurt. I’m tired of
being disappointed.”

Are you struggling with a chronic health condition and hearing
yourself thinking these kinds of thoughts: “So many people have
said they could help me and none of them have. I’m not putting
myself through that again. It’s just too disappointing. Also,
it’s starting to feel like all I do is keep throwing my money
away to all these different therapies and medications.”

The other day I was asking one of my good friends what she thought about some of my new advertising that said "Emotional Healing Made Easy." She said, "If I'm an average person and I read, 'emotional healing' the first thing I think is, 'hmm I don't need that." The problem is, we do!

How to Stop Struggling So More Good Stuff Can Come into Your Life

I just read this article in “The Certain Way” Ezine and it really made me think about how often we MAKE ourselves work harder, do more, push push push, when we’re feeling tired, overwhelmed, angry, resentful, or just plain worn out. This article sure makes you think about the value of “working more and working harder” when you are already feeling overwhelmed, afraid, desperate, discouraged, etc. It also might invite you to consider certain types of questions like…

  • Why am I doing all of this?
  • What is my intention in trying to do it all? Am I afraid of losing everything? Am I afraid I’ll have no value if I don’t do it?

I loved this article because it’s designed to help you see the value in being clear emotionally and mentally before you try to “do more, run faster, push harder” to make changes you might feel are necessary in your life. I also thought it was an excellent explanation for those days when you feel you “ran all day” and you still came home thinking, “I’ve been running all day, I’m wiped out, and I feel like I didn’t get anything done!”
