New Beginnings Can Often Come Disguised as Depression or a Spiritual Crisis

New Beginnings Can Often Come Disguised as Depression or a Spiritual Crisis

"A new beginning is often disguised as a painful ending."
-Lao-tzu

Does something in your life feel like it's coming to a close and you're really wishing it wouldn't? (Or maybe you kind of wish it would but it scares you that it might? As weird as that sounds..)
• Is it a relationship?
• A painful destructive pattern within that relationship like... the part of you that constantly needs a certain person's approval to feel whole?
• A job that feels draining and just wrong for who you want to be?
• A love affair with a food that's hurting your body?
• Putting off what your heart most wants you to do?

***Make sure you read this article to the end, I've included a special energy clearing that will relieve the worry and fear so you can embrace your hard-earned "new beginning."

Sometimes these are the kinds of things that are cluttering up our lives and blocking the inspiration and guidance we so desperately need and want.
Caroline Myss, New York Times Best Selling Author and Medical Intuitive, says that receiving guidance is easy, the first step to connecting to it is acknowledging, "I'm not happy in these areas of my life."

How to Find Grace When You Feel Like Giving Up

What is it that makes people give up on their dreams? Most of us don't consciously want to settle into a mundane life so what it is that keeps us from being who we really want to be?

As human beings, not only do we have to deal with all kinds of stressful feelings such as fear, insecurity, discouragement, overwhelm, etc. we are all hit at some point in our lives with huge challenges we didn't count on such as a divorce, a bitter betrayal, the death of a loved one, a debilitating illness, job loss, or even a bankruptcy.

Tired of Feeling Drained and Wiped out?

Tired of Feeling Drained and Wiped out?

Negative emotion is one of the biggest energy drains we are constantly faced with.

The other day I was asking one of my good friends what she thought about some of my new advertising that said "Emotional Healing Made Easy." She said, "If I'm an average person and I read, 'emotional healing' the first thing I think is, 'hmm I don't need that." The problem is, we do!

Our emotions have a profound affect on our energy levels and how well we are able to function in all areas of our lives! Yet this is a fact that most people don't realize.

Unresolved emotional baggage actually affects you just like extra programs, spam, and viruses affect your computer.

Feeling Overwhelmed?

overwhelmed-no-moreFeeling Overwhelmed?

A few weeks before school got out for the summer I noticed myself feeling really tense. As the day wore on, I noticed I was feeling more and more agitated and overwhelmed.

I had already planned out my whole week and I had my mind set on exactly how I was going to get everything done. Then I got a call from one of my boys teachers informing me that he was behind and I would need to start coming to the school to help him. My other son needed extra help on a report and I had forgotten totally about the quarterly reports that were due for our business. As all this stuff was needing to get done, I noticed the dishes and laundry piling up and the clutter around the house becoming more than I was comfortable with.

I swear in this moment I could feel my blood pressure starting to rise. I was definitely getting agitated and tense. I was even getting edgy with the family.

I love this quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson, "It is foolish to focus on too many things at once, one link in the chain of destiny is all that can be handled at a time." This quote is one of eliminate-overwhelmmy favorites because it reminds me that I need to chill out and handle one "link" at a time. I need to be flexible and allow Divine Assistance and flow.

In reality, it's not that bad unless I'm trying to hold it all in my head at once. Everyone logically knows this stuff. Of course you know you need to focus on one thing at a time and set priorities. But.. knowing that doesn't always physically help your body to be less tense and the to-do list to get any shorter.

Here's a technique that's super helpful when things are feeling like too much.

Could Change be as Simple as Remembering?

Could Change be as Simple as Remembering?
Today I found an awesome quote so I posted it on my Facebook page.  This was the quote:  "Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself." --Leo Tolstoy

One of my friends commented on the post and I loved what he said. Here was his response: "Sometimes you don't have to change...you just have to accept what you already know about yourself....and it just feels like change."

This reminded me instantly of Marianne Williamson's brilliant quote:
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.  Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.  It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.  We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?  Actually, who are you not to be?  You are a Child of God.  Your playing small doesn't serve the world.  There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.  We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.  It's not just in some of us;  it's in everyone.  And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.  As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

So.. what if we all already know that we are magnificent deep inside?  Could it be that change is just the process of coming into complete acceptance of who we really are?  What a concept!  What if we're not worthless and incompetent failures who's lives are a mess?  What if we have just temporarily forgotten who we really are and the truth about ourselves which is.. we're already perfect, whole, and complete?

What if when we are going through really tough times we could see those times as a process of remembering our truth?  Who we really are?  The more we remember who we are.. the more allowing we can be of ourselves simply on the journey of remembering.  The more allowing we are, the more we can love and accept others right where they are and help them remember.

If you're going through a tough times, you can calm the fight or flight stress response in the body using the following technique: b2ap3 thumbnail sedate-fight-or-flight

Just lay the palm of your hand across the center of your chest and use the fingertips of the other hand to tap the back of hand between ring finger and pinky finger. While tapping the back of the hand, make the following kinds of statements while taking deep breaths:

"Even though I'm going rough times, I'm feeling so scared and beat up right now, I am choosing to feel calm and centered. Even though things feel chaotic and stressful and I'm not sure where to go from here, I'm choosing to feel calm and centered. What if I could use this experience as a tool to help me clearly define who I'm not and what I don't want? Since it's helping me to see what I don't want to experience in my life, I can now clearly identify what I do want and put my focus and energy on that. What if I could just accept this experience and use it as a catalist for healing rather than fighting and hating it. I'm choosing to stay open to healing and new solutions coming into my life."

Take some deep breaths and keep tapping this way until you feel calm and centered. This is a powerful technique designed to soothe the body's Triple Warmer Energy System.

How Negative Thoughts Influence Chemicals in the Brain

How Negative Thoughts Influence Chemicals in the Brain

I just recently found some very compelling information about the brain in Dr. Ron Ruden’s book, “The Craving Brain” and I had to share!

Dr. Ruden teaches that the chemical, Dopamine that’s found in the brain, is responsible for sending the message “I’ve gotta have it, go get it.”
